1 Peter 3:18 For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive in the Spirit.

Christ is bigger than tattoos, piercings, and wardrobes. Christ is bigger than cigarettes and alcohol. Christ is bigger than gold jewelry, weaves, and makeup. Christ is bigger than homosexuality, abortions, and adultery. Christ is bigger than secular music, movies, and TV shows. Christ is bigger than church attendance, giving of tithes, and baptism.

There are believers who will condemn others for one or some of these categories above. They’ll say God is not pleased with us and some will say they’re going to hell. Based on the correct context of the Word of God, this is not true. Christ is bigger than it all. The sacrifice of Jesus redeemed us from ALL sin. There’s not one thing we can do that Christ didn’t suffer and die for. When people condemn others, or tell people they’re going to hell because of this or that, they’re essentially saying, Jesus didn’t pay for that sin. Who are we to tell others the extent of God’s grace?

As believers, our responsibility is to encourage others to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Legitimate salvation teaches all of us how to change our behavior to better the quality of our lives (Titus 2:11-13).
