Deuteronomy 30:8 And you shall return and obey the voice of the Lord and do all His commandments which I command you today.

9 And the Lord your God will make you abundantly prosperous in every work of your hand, in the fruit of your body, of your cattle, of your land, for good; for the Lord will again delight in prospering you, as He took delight in your fathers,

10 If you obey the voice of the Lord your God, to keep His commandments and His statutes which are written in this Book of the Law, and if you turn to the Lord your God with all your [mind and] heart and with all your being.

11 For this commandment which I command you this day is not too difficult for you, nor is it far off.

These are words to live by. All God wants us to do is obey Him and His word so that He may bless us. God even stated in verse 11 that it’s not a difficult task to complete but, it’s a task that will take effort. Make the effort to live right so that God can bless your life.

Exodus 14: 14″The LORD will fight for you while you keep silent.” 15Then the LORD said to Moses, “Why are you crying out to Me? Tell the sons of Israel to go forward.

Let go of worry, frustration, discontentment, rage and choose instead to keep silent and remain calm.  God has already got you covered.  Let Him handle it/them.  Just keep moving forward.

Deuteronomy 32:51 Because you broke faith with Me in the midst of the Israelites at the waters of Meribah-kadesh in the Wilderness of Zin and because you did not set Me apart as holy in the midst of the Israelites.

52For you shall see the land opposite you at a distance, but you shall not go there, into the land which I give the Israelites.

This is a perfect example of how our sin (going against God’s word) can keep us from having God’s best. Even though Moses was a great man of God, his sin kept him from experiencing the promise land.

 

This same rule applies in our lives. Our sin can keep us from experiencing God’s best. We have an advantage over Moses through the blood of Jesus Christ. Because Moses was living under the law, his sin disqualified him from having God’s best. We are living under grace, which means, if we sin we can freely ask for forgiveness and experience God’s best.

 

Live a life that is pleasing to God to experience the best God has to offer.

Psalm 34: 9 Fear the LORD, you his holy people, for those who fear him lack nothing. 10 The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the LORD lack no good thing.

When we are in lack, we do not remain satisfied with that condition.  We continue to seek God first, and declare that according to His Word, because we seek and fear (obey, respect, honor) Him, we have no lack.  And when we make a declaration by faith, we believe it.  For faith is the confirmation of what cannot yet be seen (Hebrews 11:1); it is the proof that it is done.

The devil is not just going to sit back and watch the people of God received all that God has for us. The devil’s job is to make us live in doubt, fear, and uncertainty of God’s ability to execute His promises. The devil’s job is to make us believe that what God said in His word won’t come to pass.

 

That’s why we must fight the good fight of faith.

 

1 Timothy 6:12 Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses.

 

How do we fight the fight of faith?

 

We believe God’s word when things don’t appear to be working.

We confess God’s word daily until we believe what it says.

We pray to God continually to cast our anxieties, worries, and cares on God.

We seek the Holy Spirit for guidance in every situation.

We thank God in every situation (good or bad).

 

When we are persistent fighters of faith, we are guaranteed the prize of promises.

Deuteronomy 15:5, 6

5 If only you carefully listen to the voice of the Lord your God, to do watchfully all these commandments which I command you this day.

6 When the Lord your God blesses you as He promised you, then you shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow; and you shall rule over many nations, but they shall not rule over you.

Everyone wants to be blessed by God and experience the blessed prosperous life having surplus in every area. In Deuteronomy 28:1-14, there are multiple blessings God wants us to acquire.

In order to have all these God promised blessings, there is a prerequisite. The prerequisite to promised blessings is obedience. We must be obedient in every area of our life from, loving God, to loving others, to truly forgiving others, to walking in the ways of righteousness, and more. Everything the Word of God says to do we must do in order to experience God’s promised blessings.

Be obedient to God and have the life you’ve always dreamed of and the life God desires for His people.

Deuteronomy 6:5 Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.

 

This is a very familiar verse where God instructs us to love Him with ALL our heart, soul, and strength. Let’s look at this scripture a little closer to see what God is truly saying to us.

 

Q: Why would God need to place the word ALL in front of heart, soul, and strength?

 

Could it be because some of us don’t love God with our ALL? If everyone automatically gave their ALL to God, there would be no need for God to add the word ALL in the text. By adding the word ALL signifies that people can partially love God.

 

Q: How people partially Love God?

 

A: By not fully obeying His word. At times walking in obedience and other times disobedience.

John 14:15 states “If you love me, you will obey what I command. We can say we love God multiple times but, until we are obedient our love can never be truly shown.

 

In order for us to experience God’s best in our lives we have to give Him our ALL. God has already given us His all with His Son Jesus. Our desire should be to match His ALL (Jesus) with our ALL (obedience)

 

Be obedient in ALL things because partial obedience = disobedience.

Job 22:28 You will succeed in whatever you choose to do, and light will shine on the road ahead of you. 29If people are in trouble and you say, ‘Help them,’ God will save them. 30Even sinners will be rescued; they will be rescued because your hands are pure.”

When we live for God, what we decree shall be done. God has given us so much power that we can intercede for others, and even they will be delivered. Exercise your power and start declaring positive even in negative circumstances, and expectantly await the manifestation of your God-aligned words.

Colossians 2:13 And you who were dead in trespasses and in the uncircumcision of your flesh (your sensuality, your sinful carnal nature), [God] brought to life together with [Christ], having [freely] forgiven us all our transgressions,

14 Having cancelled and blotted out and wiped away the handwriting of the note (bond) with its legal decrees and demands which was in force and stood against us (hostile to us). This [note with its regulations, decrees, and demands] He set aside and cleared completely out of our way by nailing it to [His] cross.

15[God] disarmed the principalities and powers that were ranged against us and made a bold display and public example of them, in triumphing over them in Him and in it [the cross].

God is The Judge (Acts 17:31)

At one point in time before Jesus saved us all, Satan held us captive through our sin. Satan was like the “prosecuting attorney” informing The Judge of all our wrongdoings.  Since God is a fair Judge and there was no “defense attorney” we all lost the case and were destined for death (not life) in hell.

 

Thank God we now have a “defense attorney” named Jesus. Jesus took our place and died on the cross for our sins. Jesus placed the sins of the world on His shoulders. When Jesus placed His sacrificial unblemished blood upon the mercy seat of God, we were completely forgiven of all our sins. So even if we do sin, when we ask for forgiveness, He (God) is faithful to forgive us of our sins.

Are you familiar with the saying, “You win some, you lose some?” That does not apply for us. We ALWAYS win. Even in the bleakest moments, remember that God’s people ALWAYS win. Even, when we make a mistake, we repent and give it back to God, and He still prospers us (Psalm 1:3). So, in every situation, audibly declare God’s Word over it, “I always win according to 1 Corinthians 15!”

Matthew 12:34 For out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaketh.

 

Whatever you allow to control your mind will control your imagination, and whatever you speak comes from your imagination. Friends, there is need for us to empty our minds of all filthiness and start to feeding on things that are positive, true, and honest.

 

As you start to feed on things that are true, honest, and of good reports, you are on your way to bringing down every satanic imagination and putting him under your feet. GOD’s word is perfect and sure. The Law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. (Psalms 19:7) Whatever GOD says about you can never be altered if your mind is stay on HIM alone. No force or spirit can change that which HE has decreed about you if only your mind is right with HIM.

Micah 7: 18 Who is a God like you, who pardons sin and forgives the transgression of the remnant of his inheritance?  You do not stay angry forever but delight to show mercy. 19 You will again have compassion on us; you will tread our sins underfoot and hurl all our iniquities into the depths of the sea.

We are pardoned, forgiven, and our sins removed and forgotten (not just covered up, but erased).  We are subject to a merciful, compassionate God who has declared us heirs to His inheritance (everything good and perfect (James 1:17)).  Praise God for God-given rights and mercies!!

Exodus 32:11 But Moses besought the Lord his God, and said, Lord, why does Your wrath blaze hot against Your people, whom You have brought forth out of the land of Egypt with great power and a mighty hand?

13 [Earnestly] remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, Your servants, to whom You swore by Your own self and said to them, I will multiply your seed as the stars of the heavens, and all this land that I have spoken of will I give to your seed, and they shall inherit it forever.

14 Then the Lord turned from the evil which He had thought to do to His people.

 

Summary:

God delivered His people (the Israelites) from the land of Egypt. In spite of God’s deliverance, the Israelites decided to turn their back on God and create, praise, and worship an idol god. God plans to destroy His people and Moses desperately intercedes on their behalf to spare their lives.

 

When we observe our friends, family, and enemies who need prayer we can step in the gap and intercede on their behalf. We all know someone who may need deliverance from some addiction, an increase in finances, or the God kind of peace in their lives. Instead of gossiping and spreading these people’s life story to everyone we should be interceding on their behalf through prayer.

 

We can all pray for ourselves but, don’t forget to sincerely pray for others.

Jeremiah 29: 11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.

 

God has abundant blessings designed for each of us.  But, in claiming what God has for you, be sure not to attempt to claim what God has for someone else.  Be submitted to God in every decision you make.  Don’t allow another’s timing to rush yours.  You will have the education, vehicle, marriage, house, children, career, or whatever else that God has for you, in His timing.  He really does know us, and what is best for us.  So seek God and receive your blessings in God’s perfect timing so that your life can be exceedingly, abundantly, better than you could have asked or imagined (Ephesians 3:20)!!

1 John 3:8 He who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work.

Jesus was sent to undo the works of Satan. These works include, returning dominion and authority back into the hands of man. When Jesus defeated Satan, all authority, dominion, and possessions Satan stole were released (Matthew 28:18). For those in Christ, we have a blood bought covenant right to have authority, dominion, and earthly possessions.

Now that you know this…

Use your God given authority to speak and declare God’s will over your life. (Example: If gas prices are $3.00 a gallon, speak and declare gas prices to be under $2.00.)
Use your God given dominion to control the works of Satan over your life, your family’s life, and your friend’s life. (Example: sickness, disease, poverty, etc.)
Release your faith for your God given possessions. (Example: health, wealth, car, house, career, etc.)

2 Samuel 4:14 Like water spilled on the ground, which cannot be recovered, so we must die. But that is not what God desires; rather, he devises ways so that a banished person does not remain banished from him.
1 Corinthians 15: 26 The last enemy to be destroyed is death.

God does not make people die. He designed our bodies to heal and continue to live. But, the fall of man meant that people have to die (Genesis 3:3,4). So, we don’t blame God for death because God refers to death as an enemy. In fact, God loves us so much, that He ensured that even though our flesh must die due to the sin of man, we can live and never be separated from Him. Thank You, God, that death does not have to be an eternal separation from You (John 3:16)!!

Hebrews 10:19-22 Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus,

 

Psalm 16:11 You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

 

In order to enter the presence of God we must enter in by the blood of Jesus. It was through the sacrifice of Jesus that allowed us to have communion and fellowship with the Most Holy God.

 

After we confidently enter the presence of God, we can receive peace, joy, and precise step by step instructions on how to be a blessing to the Kingdom of God, a blessing to the people of God, and how to have a prosperous life.

 

Example:

First, (with confidence) Say…. Father God I enter Your presence by way of the blood of Jesus.

Next, make your request, issues, concerns, etc known to God.

Finally, Say…. I receive Your peace in every situation.

 

That’s it! No stressing, worrying, or crying about the situation. Have total confidence that God heard you and enjoy your life.

Have you ever wondered why God request our praise, our worship, and our devotion to Him? It’s not like He needs our praise and worship to sustain life. God will still be God with or without our praise.

 

So why does He request our praise and worship?

 

God desires our praise, worship, and devotion for our benefit.

 

When we praise God for being our Healer, Provider, and Savior, we’re showing God we understand where our help originated. When we praised God for the things He’s done, He can bless us again so that we may praise Him yet again. (A cycle)

 

When worshipping God, we acknowledge God for who He is. When we acknowledge God for Who He is, this strengthens our faith to believe He can do great things in our lives. All the great and mighty things God wants to do in our lives will ONLY be given to those with faith (Galatians 3:14).

 

When we totally devote ourselves to God, we position ourselves to receive all of God’s promises. (Obedience = Blessings….Isaiah 1:19)

 

At the end of the day our praise, worship, and devotion is not for God’s ego but, it’s a way to further enhance the quality of our lives.

Psalm 23:6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

God has built a clause in for us.  Goodness and mercy follow us.  So, when we make mistakes, there’s mercy ready to forgive, forget, and allow us to move forward with God.  And, there’s goodness still covering us even when we stray.  And, we are promised life with Him forever.  Praise God!!

Mark 9: 22 And it has often thrown him both into fire and into water, intending to kill him. But if You can do anything, do have pity on us and help us.
23And Jesus said, [You say to Me], If You can do anything? [Why,] all things can be (are possible) to him who believes!
24At once the father of the boy gave [an eager, piercing, inarticulate] cry with tears, and he said, Lord, I believe! [Constantly] help my weakness of faith!

When walking or living by faith we may not have it altogether in a day or a couple of weeks. Sometimes it takes a person a lifetime to master the concept of walking by faith and not doubt. When we have those weak moments of faith, (Thank God) we can ask God to strengthen our weaknesses.
If you have any doubts, uncertainties, or concerns of God’s ability for any area in your life ask God to strengthen your weakness.

Psalm 23:5Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

Tables were prepared for royalty in biblical days. So, we are children of the King, making us royal heirs. In addition to acknowledging Whose we are, we recognize that God is preparing a feast (abundance) for us. So even while we battle our inner enemies (those temptations we fight), God is still preparing our feast – not giving up on us. We are anointed and like a glass that overflows with water and everything surrounding it is saturated, so are our lives with blessings and everyone connected to us feels the effects.

Isaiah 37:36 The LORD’s angel went out and killed 185,000 [soldiers] in the Assyrian camp. When the Judeans got up early in the morning, they saw all the corpses.

Psalm 91:11 For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways;

If one of God’s angels slew 185,000 soldiers in one night, how much more should we be comforted to know that God commands angels (plural = multiple) to protect us.

For those who are fearful of being alone, reassure your confidence in God through the protection of His angels.

For those who are doing evangelistic or missionary work in unfamiliar territories, reassure your confidence in God through the protection of His angels.

For those who are in abusive situations and are afraid to escape the situation, reassure your confidence in God through the protection of His angels.

Reassure your confidence in God because He assures us that no weapon that attempts to hurt us will prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

Psalm 23:4Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

We have responsibility in this. Our first job is to walk. We follow God and we keep moving, not giving up when shadows come. For there can be no shadow if there is no light. So we keep moving toward the light. And, while in the valley (valleys occur between high places), we build our character and faith.

Our second task is to not fear evil. Fear of the Lord is necessary. Fear of anything else is a lack of trust and faith in the Lord. Remember that God is always with us. And, also recognize that God disciplines those He loves. God’s discipline moves us back in line with Him allowing us to walk on a favored path full of all of the blessings He has in store for us, with no delay.

Philippians 2:5 Let this mind be in you which was in Christ Jesus,

The first word in this verse is “let” which simply means to allow. To allow something happen means we have to open ourselves up to receive the mind of Christ. The mind of Christ will not force its way in us. We must be open to receive the mind of Christ in every situation.

Question:
What does it mean to have the mind of Christ?

Answer:
This means…
We love God.
We have compassion for others.
We forgive others.
We are obedient to God.
We allow the Holy Spirit to guide and direct us in every area in our lives.
And so much more, just read it in your Bible.

Allow the mind of Christ to be in you to be a blessing to the Kingdom of God.

Psalm 23:3He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.

We are spirit beings wrapped in flesh with souls. Our souls are our mind, intellect, imagination, emotions, and will. Whenever we lose pieces of our soul to unforgiveness, immorality, or other things, when we come back to God, He restores our souls.

When on this path of following God, we need to realize it is for His name’s sake. Just as a parent does not want their child acting a fool publicly because of the reflection on the parent, God is the same. We embody Him to others and we want Him reflected in the way He should be.

Galatians 6:7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap.

There are multiple areas where we can benefit from the law of sowing and reaping. God did not orchestrate the law of sowing and reaping for only farming and money.

When we sow quality time with our family and friends, we will reap quality time.
When we sow love (when it’s convenient and when it’s not) we will reap love.
We can even sow a seed by preserving the planet’s resources when we turn off water, turn off electricity and recycle. What we will reap a healthy planet for future generations.

Locate all the positive seeds you can sow in your life in order to reap positive results in your life and in the life of others.

Philippians 4:8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable–if anything is excellent or praiseworthy–think about such things.

 

When we’re faced with situations or circumstances, we have a choice to magnify the positive or negative in our lives. For example, let’s say a person doesn’t enjoy their job as much; they have a choice to magnify the negative things associated with their job or the positive things.

 

By magnifying the positive things in life, we avoid such things as depression and acquire resilience to overcome the negative things. Spiritually, by magnifying the positive things we show God our appreciation and gratefulness for all the additional things He’s blessed us with.

 

The choice is yours to focus on the positive in every situation and not the negative.

2 Corinthians 5: 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! 19 that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. 20b We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.

Instead of being focused on our struggles, we can spend this new decade focusing on what we can do.  We can commit to do the things that honor and please God, and lead to a better, prosperous, favored life for us.  We can intentionally set aside daily time to:

1.read God’s Word
2.listen to various God-inspired ministers (more than once a week at church)
3.talk to God through prayer, worship, and godly declarations
4.read God-inspired books to help us grow
