2 Corinthians 13:14 Now may the grace of God, the love of Jesus, and the sweet communion of the Holy Spirit, rest, rule, and abide now, henceforth and forevermore. Amen.
Most of the time, this statement is made during the benediction at church. This statement is pretty accurate when it comes to biblical truth regarding the Holy Spirit. We, the believers, should desire the Holy Spirit to rest, rule, and abide within us. God, through Jesus, has made the Holy Spirit available to reside within us to guide us everyday of our life. When we acknowledge the Holy Spirit’s presence and heed to His commands we will experience God’s best in life.
Rest- Receive the Holy Spirit. Allow the Holy Spirit to rest within us. Don’t fight or debate with the Holy Spirit’s promptings. Make the Holy Spirit feel welcome in your temple.
Rule- The Holy Spirit is in control. God is smarter than us and He knows the end from the beginning. Be at peace with the fact that the Holy Spirit is in control.
Abide- Allow the Holy Spirit to make His home in us by acknowledging Him in all our decisions. It’s up to us to be filled with the Holy Spirit.
1 Thessalonians 4:7 For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life. 8 Therefore, he who rejects this instruction does not reject man but God, who gives you his Holy Spirit.
Be Blessed!

Hello,
I have a question about your opening scripture (2 Corinthians 13:14). What “translation” are you using? I can’t seem to find it anywhere. I’ve found the same scripture and it does sound similar but not exact.
Thanks

Wow. Thank you very much. In my studies, I remember hearing that in church and I saw that it was associated with 2 Cor. 13:14. However, I didn’t realize it was not in the Bible.
It was an error on my part. Thank you for pointing it out.

I’ve been looking for it too because I grew up hearing it as well! I just didn’t know if you actually found the source because I have been trying to! Thanks for your response.

Great! Inspiring, encouraging, engaging. The only gospel that we must believe, about Christ the only one saviour to trust, the only Lord to serve in faith, the only Master to obey in our lives. How great a saviour He is! May our souls bless Him.

So glad to see this article, Thank you Lord and you.i advocate for the HOLY GHOST. You wouldn’t think He need that, but people are either afraid of Him, embarrassed by Him or they just do not think there is a need for Him. For me there would be no me without the HOLY GHOST. He is my all and all!!!

Good afternoon, what translation is this? It’s not the KJV. I remember this verse being the benediction at the church I attended years ago. It’s the rest, rule and abide part that jogged my memory. Still hits home. Thanks

Hello to everyone out there, God be the glory,
I once was lost in that other world, until their was nowhere else to run but to Jesus, when I excepted him my whole world changed, he took away the drinking, smoking, lying, the cheating, every thing that’s attach to the other world, I was broken, that’s when he came into my life he made the crooked path straight, I’m Minister Bobby Pruitt
