^{Deuteronomy 32:51} Because you broke faith with Me in the midst of the Israelites at the waters of Meribah-kadesh in the Wilderness of Zin and because you did not set Me apart as holy in the midst of the Israelites.

⁵²For you shall see the land opposite you at a distance, but you shall not go there, into the land which I give the Israelites.

This is a perfect example of how our sin (going against God’s word) can keep us from having God’s best. Even though Moses was a great man of God, his sin kept him from experiencing the promise land.

This same rule applies in our lives. Our sin can keep us from experiencing God’s best. We have an advantage over Moses through the blood of Jesus Christ. Because Moses was living under the law, his sin disqualified him from having God’s best. We are living under grace, which means, if we sin we can freely ask for forgiveness and experience God’s best.

Live a life that is pleasing to God to experience the best God has to offer.
