Ephesians 3:17 Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong.

The word “may” in these two sentences signifies a choice. Paul is advising us to allow Christ to dwell in our hearts and to be rooted in love. At the end of the day the choice is ultimately up to us. We have a choice not to allow Christ to dwell in our hearts and not to be rooted in love which is really unfortunate to the believer. It is unfortunate to the believer simply because everything surrounds Christ and love. The new commandment Christ set before us is to love God and love our neighbor (Matthew 10:37). So if we don’t have love we don’t have God. If we don’t have God how can we expect to receive all the benefits associated with God?
We must have love in our hearts people of God in order to change our life, our situation, and our circumstances.

Have Love!
