1 John 3:1 How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.
When children get to the age of accountability (usually 12 years old and up), how they act is usually a reflection of the parenting they received. If a child is nice, sweet, generous, and kind, a person may believe that child had good parenting. If a child is unkind, disrespectful, rude, and selfish, a person may believe that child had poor parenting.
After we accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, we become children of God. Everything we do is a reflection on God. The way we walk, talk, act, or live all is a representation of God.
How are you representing God? When people see your lifestyle or actions, would people say you are a devout Christian, a true child of God? Or, would your Heavenly Father’s light not even be seen by others because of your unholy lifestyle?
It’s a process to change our unholy ways but, we have to make an effort at some point in our lives. Start today!
