When we receive salvation (accept Jesus as Lord and Savior), we now live under His authority. This means we no longer do what we want to do but, we do what He has instructed us to do. One thing Jesus instructed us to do was to obey His commandments (John 14:15). Jesus’ commandments are based in love. We are called to love God and love our neighbor. Our neighbor includes the saved and the unsaved. We are called to love them all the same. In loving our unsaved neighbor, we should desire to see them saved. Jesus made this clear when He said in Mark 16:15, “Go and preach the gospel to ALL creation.”

To those who are reading this and have not accepted Jesus Christ as Lord, I encourage you to do so right now. Simply confess with your mouth “Jesus is Lord” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved.

To those who are saved, be obedient to the Word of God by preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ to all. Don’t be ashamed to let the world know who we serve. What a mighty God!
