Mark 10:21 Jesus looked at him and loved him. “One thing you lack,” he said. “Go, sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”
Giving to the poor and less fortunate is a part of God’s will. During the holiday season, there will be many people less fortunate than ourselves. As followers of Christ, we should have a desire to give to the poor. We should not want to see anyone struggling because of lack. The possessions we own are not only for ourselves but, to be a blessing in the lives of others. God gave us abundance; now we share that abundance with someone else.
