2 Samuel 6:13When those who were carrying the ark of the Lord had taken six steps, he sacrificed a bull and a fattened calf. 14David, wearing a linen ephod, danced before the Lord with all his might, 15while he and the entire house of Israel brought up the ark of the Lord with shouts and the sound of trumpets.
The ark of the Lord represented the presence of the Lord. David was so happy to have the presence of the Lord in his city until he danced before the Lord with all his might. God didn’t have to do anything for David and God never promised him anything. But, because the presence of the Lord was in his city David was joyful and danced.
Praise and worship is a chance to usher in the presence of the Lord at our local sanctuary. During praise and worship, some of us don’t sing, dance, or even lift our hands. Some of us intentionally miss praise and worship for whatever reason.
God demands, deserves, and desires our praise (Psalm 29:2). The least we can do as children of God is to give Him our best praise and our best worship.
Be Blessed!
