Why is it that some Christians make it taboo to speak on money in a positive light? Anytime a Christian speaks on how God blessed them financially, they become a crook in the eyes of the public. It seems like the rest of the world can be blessed and rich but, us Christians have to be content and live on the bare minimum. Where did we get this idea that the more poor we are, the more spiritual we become?
That is not the Word of God.
The wealth God has for His people is immeasurable. There are many verses in the Bible where God desires to bless His people and His people only.
Just to name a few…
Proverbs 13:22 A good man leaves an inheritance for his children’s children, but a sinner’s wealth is stored up for the righteous.
Psalm 37:25 I was young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread.
Psalm 112:3 Wealth and riches will be in his home. His righteousness continues forever.
Acquiring money honestly is not the only thing God desires for us but, it is one of many. Receive your inheritance and be wealthy.
Romans 6: 14For sin shall not have dominion over you: for you are not under the law, but under grace.
Romans 8: 1There is therefore now no condemnation to them who are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 2For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. 4That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 13For if you live after the flesh, you shall die: but if you through the Spirit do put to death the deeds of the body, you shall live. 14For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
Being submitted to God includes utilizing the Helper that God gave us, the Holy Spirit. Rather than pursuing perfection through righteous acts, we choose to accept that through Jesus’ sacrifice (Hebrews 10:14) we have already been made perfect (our spirits). We focus on being obedient to the Spirit to allow our souls (mind, will, emotions) and flesh to align themselves with the third of us that is already perfect.
So no longer frustrate yourself with not ‘getting it right’, and instead put your efforts into obeying the Spirit -asking His permission, relying on His strength, and renewing your mind continuously.
Romans 8: 6For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
Romans 6: 1What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? 2God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? 21What fruit had you then in those things whereof you are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death. 22But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, you have your fruit to holiness, and the end everlasting life.
Just as salvation cannot be earned with righteous acts (Ephesians 2:8,9), it cannot be lost with unrighteous acts (except to deny God) or else we would all be in peril (Dr. Creflo Dollar).
But, continuing in sin can have consequences, which is why we choose to make continuous efforts to be submitted to God rather than intentionally sinning with the mindset of, ‘all fall short,’ or ‘God forgives.’ While the fruit of sin is consequence, the fruit of submission to God is peace, love, holiness (Galatians 5:22,23).
Man is a tripartite being. We are spirits who possess a soul who live in a body. The only way to contact our spirit is through the word of God. Our spirit is designed to accept and receive the word of God at all times. We must renew or change our mind with the word of God in order for our souls to accept and receive the word of God.
Most of us have come to accept and receive Jesus Christ to be the Son of God. Our spirit and soul have accepted that. However, when it comes to more personal things found in the word of God, it’s harder for us to accept it.
For example, 2 Corinthians 2:14 Now thanks be unto God, who always causes us to triumph in Christ, and makes manifest the fragrance of his knowledge by us in every place. Here we have God’s word telling us we always triumph and yet, some people can’t accept this. Some people still walk around making untrue statements such as, “you can’t win them all” or “you win a few, you lose a few.”
Example 2: 1 Peter 2:24 He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed.
God’s word says we are healed (past tense…already done) but, some people still declare they are sick. Even though the symptoms of sickness are present we can still declare we are healed.
Accept and receive the word of God for your life and don’t accept anything less than God’s best.
James 5:7 Be patient, then, brothers, until the Lord’s coming. See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop and how patient he is for the autumn and spring rains. 8: You too, be patient and stand firm, because the Lord’s coming is near.
The society we live in could be named “The Microwave Society.” We want things quick, fast, and in a hurry with the least amount of effort as possible. Unfortunately, this is not how the Kingdom of God operates. The Kingdom of God requires its people to have faith and patience (Hebrews 6:12). Faith is the tool we use to access the promises of God. Patience is what we exercise until the promises manifest in this physical world. Patience is not sitting around, doing nothing, like we’re waiting on a bus. Patience means staying consistent in doing the things of God until the promises manifest. We must consistently pray, read/do the word of God, confess God’s word over our situation, along with anything else God tells us to do until our desires come to pass. With faith and patience we can receive everything that belongs to us.

Matthew 25:24 “Then the man who had received the one talent came. ‘Master,’ he said, ‘I knew that you are a hard man, harvesting where you have not sown and gathering where you have not scattered seed. 25 So I was afraid and went out and hid your talent in the ground. See, here is what belongs to you.’ 26“His master replied, ‘You wicked, lazy servant! So you knew that I harvest where I have not sown and gather where I have not scattered seed?
God has given each of us gifts and talents to share with the world. Some more than others. Our responsibility is to use these gifts and talents for the glory of God. These gifts and talents are tools to attract others so that we can add to the Kingdom of God.
Some people have talents in academics, athletics, cosmetology, multitasking, construction, comedy, etc. These gifts and talents lure people in our inner circle. Once they are in, we have an opportunity to share the good news of Jesus Christ. We have an opportunity to give our testimony on how God delivered us and blessed us. We have an opportunity to show the love of Christ to ALL.
Don’t be like the wicked servant. Use your gifts and talents to multiply the Kingdom of God.
2 Corinthians 9:6 Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.
Notice, the word doesn’t say if we sow sparingly, we will reap nothing. It says, if we sow sparingly, we reap sparingly. God orchestrated a plan where even if we sow sparingly, we will reap something.
For those who don’t know, tithes and an offering are mandatory by God (Malachi 3:8-10). Anything else we give is an additional offering. The moments God prompts us to give, are the moments God is setting us up to receive our blessing. And, 2 Corinthians 9:7 says God loves a cheerful giver. So, anytime God places us in a position to give, we shouldn’t look at it as God taking something from us but, look at it as God is trying to give something to us.

2 Corinthians 1:20 For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God.
1 Timothy 6:12 Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses.
All the promises of God are YES but, we must obtain these promises by faith. These promises are not going to automatically come without opposition from the enemy. That’s why we have to fight the good fight of faith and hold tightly to these promises which are found in the word of God.
Satan is out to steal these promises from us, kill our hopes and dreams, and destroy the works and efforts of Jesus. Through negative thoughts, ideas, and suggestions the devil will attempt to persuade us that these promises are unattainable or not meant for someone like us. The devil is a lie! All the promises are ours and we have to claim it in Jesus name.

Moses killed an Egyptian, ignored his people for forty years, ran away for another forty years, and delivered a people from an oppressive situation and gave them a means to honor God.
Acts 7:35 This Moses whom they rejected, saying, Who made you a ruler and a judge? is the one God sent to be a ruler and a deliverer by the hand of the Angel who appeared to him in the bush. 36 He brought them out, after he had shown wonders and signs in the land of Egypt, and in the Red Sea, and in the wilderness forty years.
Neither time, nor people, nor past sins can block the calling of God. If we would choose to see ourselves the way God does, rebuking our opinions, doubts, fears, and impatience for submission to God, then the greatness God has called us to can manifest and impact positive change for ourselves and others.
Psalm 29:2 Give to the LORD the glory due to his name; worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.
Romans 12: 1I beseech you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2And be not conformed to this world: but be you transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Generally, we are very I-driven. We tend to be focused on what we want, how we perform, what we have planned for ourselves, and more. The way to not be so self-involved, is to consistently worship the Lord. He’s awesome, amazing, and loves us; He deserves our praise!
We submit ourselves fully to Him renewing our minds throughout the day so that our souls (heart, mind, and will) are aligned with the Spirit. Then, our flesh must follow. We praise God and we thank Him that we submit every part of us as an offering of praise to Him!!
1 Thessalonians 5:23 May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
“Man is a tri-partite being – spirit, soul and body. It is with his spirit that a man worships, and may contact God. The soul includes the conscious and subconscious minds, the realm of emotions and the will. Soul gives a man personality, self-awareness, rationality and natural feeling.” ~Michael
Most people think when they get saved everything changes (spirit, soul, and body). They think because they’re saved they won’t crave the same sins or have the same lustful desires in their heart. The truth is, when we get born again, the only thing that instantly changes and gets saved is our spirit. Everything else (soul & body) will take effort on our part to change. Change, is a process. What helps this process is renewing our mind to the word of God daily (Romans 12:2). We need to align our thoughts with the word of God. Whatever God says is right or wrong, we say it’s right or wrong. As our soul changes, the body will follow suit.
Anytime we sin, we shouldn’t get frustrated with ourselves. We should make the necessary adjustments to better our ourselves and our situation. Never give up or quit! Continue to grow and develop into that great man or woman God called us to be.
Have you ever wondered why we speak in tongues or pray in the Holy Spirit? Is it just some gibberish that Christians do or is there a real purpose?
Fact 1: When we speak in tongues, we speak directly to God.
1 Corinthians 14:2 For anyone who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God. Indeed, no one understands him; he utters mysteries with his spirit.
-Although, no one (including ourselves) knows what we’re saying, God knows and understands everything we say.
Fact 2: When we speak in tongues, we edify or strengthen ourselves.
1 Corinthians 14:4 He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself, but he who prophesies edifies the church.
-Speaking in tongues gives us the strength we need to endure the trials and tribulation in our lives.
Fact 3: When we speak in tongues, we declare God’s plan and purpose for our lives to be revealed.
1 Corinthians 2:7 No, the wisdom we speak of is the mystery of God–his plan that was previously hidden, even though he made it for our ultimate glory before the world began.
-Many of us want to know God’s plan and purpose for our lives. God is willing to reveal His plan to us through His Spirit.
Some people may think speaking in tongues is a joke but, as we can see, God has a purpose for this speech. There is no special or specific way to speak in tongues; just speak. When we initially start, it may make us feel silly but, that’s just a trick of the enemy to get us to stop. Continue to speak to God and never lose sight of purpose.

Deuteronomy 10:17 For the LORD your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great God, mighty and awesome, who shows no partiality and accepts no bribes.
Our God is great! There is nothing He can’t do. He specializes in impossibilities. Whenever we need Him, He’s right there. He promised never to leave us nor forsake us. Our God is great! He provided a plan for us to have everlasting life. He allows us to be healed before we ever get sick. He gives us the desires of our hearts. Our God is great! He forgives every sin we commit. He loves us unconditionally. He protects us from dangers seen and unseen. Did I mention, our God is great!
Whenever in tough times, think of the greatness of God and know this great God is still in control.

James 1:14 but each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed. 15 Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.
When a tempting thought comes across our minds, we should immediately dismiss that thought. By dwelling on that thought, our thought turns into action. Our action produces more action. Ultimately, we’re immersed in a sinful lifestyle and we don’t want to get out or, we don’t know how to get out.
God gave us free will. We have a choice to please God in every way possible or, sin and please our flesh with its lustful desires. God is the source of life. Where sin is present, God is absent. By choosing to sin, we are literally killing ourselves. We are physically removing the source of life (God), from our life, to satisfy our flesh. Our demise may not be overnight, then again, it may be. It only takes one sin to kill…ask Adam and Eve (Gen 2:17). This death all starts with a thought.
Make the choice to live a prosperous, abundant, fulfilled life and sin not.
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 14a And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us
John 8: 58 “I tell you the truth,” Jesus answered, “before Abraham was born, I am!”
Genesis 1:27So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
God did not create us because He needed company. Jesus, the Word, God, the Father, and the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of God were in existence as well as the angels. So, what is our purpose?
John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
We were made in the image of God. Since God is a spirit, so are we. While what we see is our flesh, the real part of us, the God part of us is our spirit. And, we were created to worship and honor God. So, we commune with our Creator by dwelling in His Word, being filled with His Spirit, and choosing daily to honor Him with our lives.
1 Peter 1:3Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to his abundant mercy has begotten us again unto a living hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fades not away, reserved in heaven for you, 5Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
Through Christ’s sacrifice on the cross, we have an inheritance that we will never lose, that will never change nor dwindle, and we are protected by God’s power.
Because of our faith in Him who saved us, we have a divine guaranteed inheritance and the ultimate protection to cover us until we reach heaven. Praise God for His provisions for us!!
Isaiah 43:11 I, even I, am the LORD, and apart from me there is no savior.
Some religions use this verse to demolish the fact that Jesus is our Savior. They may believe and accept God as Savior but, they don’t accept Jesus as the Christ.
We can believe Jesus as our Savior because the Bible says so. In John 10:30, Jesus declares He and God are One. This verse alone brings truth to Isaiah 43:11. Since Jesus and the Father are One, God is our Savior through Jesus.
This message was not given so that we can debate or argue with unbelievers. This message was sent to further solidify our belief as Christians. Daily, there are spiritual forces attempting to persuade Christians into unbelief. These forces use logic and rationale as their tools of persuasions. As Christians, we must hold on to our belief and not be influenced by worldly views. The only source we should believe is the Word of God. (The Holy Bible).

Habakkuk 2:3 For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false.Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.
God desires His people to tap into His hidden wisdom. The things He knows, He desires His children to know. This wisdom is not hidden from us but, hidden for us.
Habakkuk says, God’s revelation will come at an appointed time.
Q:What revelation?
A: 2 Corinthians 2:9 says the revelation is, What eyes have not seen, what no ear has heard, what no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him”–
– God desires to reveal all He has prepared for His children.
Q: How do we receive this revelation?
A: Through God’s Spirit; the Holy Spirit.
-2 Corinthians 2:10 but God has revealed it to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.
This is why it’s so important to receive the Holy Spirit in our lives. The Holy Spirit reveals the hidden mysteries/wisdom/knowledge of God concerning our life, our family, and our country. All those “why” questions can be revealed to us now. We don’t have to wait until we go to heaven for God to answer those questions. For those who don’t have the Holy Spirit, invite the Holy Spirit into your life to get the inside scoop in every area of your life.
When we buy an item that needs to be assembled, we usually read the instruction manual. The instruction manual gives us step by step instructions on assembling the item (ex: Step 1, Step 2, Step 3). If we should deviate from the steps, the item we’re assembling will turn out crooked, unbalanced, or not sturdy enough.
Well, God has given us step by step instructions in starting a family.
Step 1: Love (Mark 12:31)
Step 2: Marriage (Matthew 19:5,6)
Step 3: Children (Hebrews 13:4 & Psalm 127:3)
So many people seem to deviate from God’s plan in starting a family. Some people get married to people they don’t even love, while others have children with people they love and skip the marriage part altogether. Like I said before, anytime we deviate from the intructions, our product turns out crooked, unbalanced, or not sturdy enough. Now, we have an increase in divorce rates, fatherless homes, and verbal/physical abuse. We get ourselves in these predicaments and want God to heal, restore, and deliver us. We could have prevented a lot of these issues in our lives if we would have followed God’s plan in the first place.
For those who made the mistake and deviated from God’s plan, praise God for His grace, mercy, and forgiveness. It’s not over. If we totally submit ourselves to the plan of God, God is willing to bless what we have and make it work for our good (Romans 8:28).
Revelation 1:5 And from Jesus Christ, Who is the faithful Witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto Him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in His own blood, 6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God and His Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. (also 1 Peter 2:3)
Through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, Jesus made us (believers) kings and priests. Therefore, we don’t need an earthly priest to intercede on our behalf anymore. Who better to represent yourself, than yourself?
It doesn’t matter if we feel like a priest, or if our current actions reflect a priestly lifestyle, every blood washed believer is a priest.
With this knowledge, we should not hope and wish that God will hear our prayers and petitions. We should have an assurance as a priest of the most high God, that God hears and He is obligated to answer our prayers. Not only can we boldly come before God with our requests but, we have the ability stand in the gap and intercede for every non-believer we know.
Priests of God, allow the Spirit to use you in your priestly duties.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
This past weekend, we took the time to celebrate Easter or Resurrection Sunday. People across the globe spoke on Jesus’ death, the cross, forgiveness of sins, and the resurrection. This is great stuff but, none of this would be possible if it were not for God’s love.
God’s love orchestrated a plan to reconcile the relationship between God and man through Jesus.
God’s love allows our sins to be forgiven the moment we ask.
God’s love returns mankind’s authority in the earth.
God’s love gives us access to all of God’s promises.
God’s love allows us to spend eternity with our Creator.
Our God is great!
Don’t allow God’s love to love in vain.
Mark 14:30 “I tell you the truth,” Jesus answered, “today—yes, tonight—before the rooster crows twiced you yourself will disown me three times.”
Jesus knew Peter would betray Him and yet God still loved him and treated him with kindness and used him to do marvelous works for the Kingdom of God. God knows every sin or mistake we will ever make in life and yet He loves us and blesses us daily. No matter what sin we do, we still have an opportunity to be used by God. His grace and mercy are so abundant until our human minds can’t even fathom its wealth. This doesn’t give us license to sin but, if we sin we have a place of forgiveness and restoration.
Praise God for His love.
Romans 8: 28And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. 31What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? 37No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
When we accept Jesus as the Son of God and our Savior, we are made children and heirs of God. As heirs who love and live for their Father, we have security in knowing that everything that happens, no matter how great or horrid, God will work it out in our favor. Even when it looks impossible to overcome, we are assured that the most high, God gives us all good and perfect things (Ephesians 2:8,9) and He is FOR US. Declare it, shout it, and remind your flesh of what your spirit knows: We are MORE than conquerors; we are overcomers!
Romans 8: 34Who is he that condemns? Christ Jesus, who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. 35Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 38For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Our Holy God sent His Son to redeem us so that we could be forgiven and spend eternity with Him. Christ’s death and resurrection became the payment for our sins that made us new, clean, righteous creations. Once we accept Jesus as God’s Son and Lord and Savior, no sin, person, experience, circumstance, nothing can separate us from a love that great!
John 20:29 Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”
In today’s world, so many people want physical evidence that God exists or evidence that Jesus really is the Son of God. The Bible states, blessed are those who believe without seeing. This is not only a statement, but a law. This law applies to every promise in the word of God.
We are blessed when we believe we are healed even though we experience symptoms.
We are blessed when we believe we received the desires of our heart even though we can’t see them yet.
We are blessed when we believe we are delivered from a thing even though we still struggle with that temptation.
We don’t have to see the results to know we’re blessed. We’re blessed because we believe.
1 Timothy 4:8 “Physical training is good, but training for godliness is much better, promising benefits in this life and in the life to come.”
Our natural body needs physical training to gain natural strength. Likewise, our spiritual body needs spiritual training to gain spiritual strength.
What training does our spiritual body need? Development in the word of God. Some of us only train our spirit man once a week (Sundays). When we’re attacked by the enemy with trials and temptations our spirit man is so weak until we can’t even fight off any of these temptations or trials.
As Christians, we should read the word of God on a daily basis to build our spirit man. Faith comes by hearing the word of God. No word, no faith. We don’t have to read the entire Bible but, at least a chapter a day. If time doesn’t permit, start off with a couple of verses. As our relationship with God develops, our appetite for His word will increase.
Get strong!
Acts 3:6 Then Peter said, “Silver or gold I do not have, but what I have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.” 7: Taking him by the right hand, he helped him up, and instantly the man’s feet and ankles became strong.
Peter had so much confidence in the name of Jesus until he reached out and grabbed the lame man’s hand to help him up. This type of confidence was free from unbelief and doubt. Peter simply displayed works with his faith in the name of Jesus by helping this man up. (James 2:17)
Can you imagine how different our lives would be if we had this type of confidence?
For example instead of waiting on God to bless us with a career we would…
1. Declare the manifestation of our career in the name of Jesus.
2. Get our resume together.
3. Apply.
4. Prepare interview questions.
5. Prepare to move if necessary.
Etc.
We would do all of this before we go on an interview because we have confidence in the name of Jesus regarding our career.
Do you have confidence in the Name? Well, take more action regarding all your desires.
Genesis 1:26 Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”
Initially, God gave man authority over everything in the earth. This authority was over both natural and spiritual things. It wasn’t until sin entered the earth when man lost this authority and man experienced death, sickness, and lack. Jesus entered this world to restore man back to his place of authority. The sad thing is some of us haven’t taken advantage of this authority. Yes, the products of sin are still present but, through Jesus Christ we have authority over these things. Since God restored our authority, we shouldn’t tolerate sickness in our body. We shouldn’t put up with fear or pressure. We shouldn’t have so many insecurities.
Release these products of sin and receive the authority God has given to His people.
If a “wino” or a “drunkard” approached an unbeliever to witness to them about Jesus Christ, how likely do you think that unbeliever will become saved? Not likely at all.
The same concept applies with us. It’s going to be hard to persuade someone to Christ when they know a person is committing adultery. It will be kind of difficult to talk about the goodness of God while getting high. It will be a little unpersuasive speaking on the benefits of living for Christ when a person is broke due to bad spending habits.
I’m not saying we have to be perfect to be a witness for Jesus Christ but, we should be pursing perfection.
Be a light, to be an example, to build the Kingdom of God.
Matthew 5:16 In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.

Salvation is free: we accept that Jesus died for our sins and rose again freeing us from the bondage of our sins. Then, we should not stop there, but choose to live for Him. One day, we will all be held accountable for what we did. Because we are saved, our sins are cleared, but the good things still count in our favor.
So, we should not stop at salvation, but choose to live for and serve God daily because it does not go unnoticed; we are rewarded here because we reap what we sow (Galatians 6:7 – 10), and we will be rewarded even more-so in Heaven. Praise God that He rewards us!!
