James 1:14 Temptation comes from our own desires, which entice us and drag us away.

Temptations come from our evil desires sent by Satan. It doesn’t matter if a person is saved or unsaved, we all will be tempted. If we succumb to these temptations, the devil’s next objective is to bombard us with even more temptations. The next thing you know we find ourselves in a pit of sin. If we try to take the steps to get out, Satan will magnify that pit to the point where some stop trying. If we attempt to turn to God for help, Satan will deceive us and make us feel unworthy to return to the Father.

In order not to allow the temptations to take over our life, we have to nip it in the bud or stop it before it starts. We have to do the necessary things so the temptation won’t spread.
1. We must recognize and acknowledge our temptations.
2. When we’re attacked with temptations, we must send a counter attack through deliverance confessions, prayer, and the renewal of our mind using the word of God.
3. Have an accountability partner. It’s good to have non-judgmental person who can help us, pray for us, and keep us on the right track in life.

At the end of the day it’s up to us. We have to be strong enough to not give in to any temptations the devil throws our way.
