Luke 1: 31 You will be with child and give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus. 32 He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David,
THE PROMISE: The angel, Gabriel, told Mary she was going to give birth to the Son of God. Although Mary could not physically see the promise, in verse 38, Mary received the promise by faith.
-In the word of God there are promises for us (healing, deliverance, prosperity etc.). Although we may not physically see the promise, our job is to receive the promise by faith.
THE PROCESS: Mary had to wait 9-10 months before her promise came to pass.
-With every promise there is a process. We must have patience during this time. Hebrews 6:12 lets us know we receive the promise of God through faith and patience.
THE POSITION: Can you imagine the position Mary was in? Mary was an unwed pregnant woman walking around claiming she was giving birth to the Son of God. Some people may have labeled her as promiscuous while others called her crazy.
-We should expect negativity to come our way once we receive the promise by faith. This negativity is designed to make us question and doubt what God has said concerning our life.
THE PROMOTION: The promise came to pass. Mary had the opportunity to raise the Savior of the world.
-With faith and righteous works, our promise will come to pass.
Work the principles of faith and the promise will come to pass.
