In attempts to obey God, we can become so focused on the sin, that it consumes our thoughts and leaves us destined to repeat. But, what if instead of being disheartened by the sin, we recited what God has called us to? Whether in the midst of the sin, or battling the temptations of it, how much more would our resistance hold if we accessed the “greater is He” that’s within, by proclaiming God’s Word?
During the temptation or the sin, and even while not tempted, declare, “I have been made righteous. I am the righteousness of God” (Romans 5:19; 2 Corinthians 5:21).
Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.
