Just like any father, God requires a relationship from us. Unfortunately, God did not put Himself in a position to physically get our attention to establish that relationship. What God did was send His Son to the earth to die for mankind so that we can contact Him anytime we want. It’s up to us to seek Him.
From TV, internet, and games, there are a lot of distractions that prevent us from seeking God the way we should. The enemy also makes it appear as if seeking God is not as exciting as doing something else. Honestly, if we ask a group of people would they rather go to a party or read the Bible, most people would choose the party. That deception/distraction prevents mankind from establishing a deeper relationship with God and it also prevents people from growing in the Word of God.
It may be tough but, in order to establish a relationship with God and better our current situation, we need to discipline ourselves and seek after God.
Deuteronomy 4:29 (NLT) But from there you will search again for the LORD your God. And if you search for him with all your heart and soul, you will find him.
