Proverbs 8:35 For those who find me find life and receive favor from the LORD.
When good or unexpected things happen in our lives, people often say, “I got lucky.” In the world, they do live by luck or chance. For the believer, there is no such thing as luck. When great or unexpected things happen in the life of a believer, we should praise and thank God and acknowledge His favor in our lives. By stating, ‘it was luck’ removes God from the equation, limits His glory, and minimizes our praise. Our acknowledgement to God after experiencing something good may inquire the mind of an unbeliever to want to know about this God we serve.
Never reduce God’s blessings to luck, give Him His praise and reverence.
