Hebrews 10:32 Remember those earlier days after you had received the light, when you endured in a great conflict full of suffering. 33 Sometimes you were publicly exposed to insult and persecution; at other times you stood side by side with those who were so treated.
Once we receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and make a conscious decision to be sold out for Him, there are going to be insults and persecution. Everyone may not understand the quest we take to be more like Jesus. They may think we’re “selling out” or too good for the hood. That’s okay. That’s to be expected.
As we continue our quest to walk in the light, our blessed lives will appeal to those who are still in the dark. They will eventually want to see, understand, and have a relationship with this God Who gives us peace, joy, and abundantly more.
That will be the time to share the detailed Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Persecution is to be expected. Keep focused on pleasing God and choose not to be distracted by persecutors.
