When unbelievers repent and acknowledge Christ as Savior, they have access to the thoughts and teachings of God through the Holy Spirit. As believers, we have already been forgiven of all past, present, and future sins because of Jesus’s sacrifice and resurrection.
Our position is to realize the shortcomings of walking by our flesh, turn away from that, and live a life led by the Spirit. While we have been made new (2 Corinthians 5:17), our power to honor God comes by continuously renewing our minds to hear from and obey the promptings of the Spirit. And with that transformed lifestyle comes peace, confidence, and a more abundant life.
