Many of us can recall a time when we have been the victims of someone’s thoughtless, inconsiderate actions and left feeling hurt, mistreated, and undervalued.
Now consider God, Who loves us so much that He sent His Son for us in spite of every thoughtless, inconsiderate action we ever did, do, or will do. And that same God expects us to forgive others and be willing to demonstrate the acts of kindness we wish they would have shown us. But, how? By allowing the Holy Spirit to renew our minds when we want to recount the incident, and choosing instead to think of our loving God, how only His love made us righteous, and how we honor Him by reflecting Him to others. That person’s ignorance is an opportunity for us to sow seeds of kindness and love.
Matthew 7: 12 “Always do for other people everything you want them to do for you. That is [the meaning of] Moses’ Teachings and the Prophets.
