James 4:10 (AMP) Humble yourselves [feeling very insignificant] in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you [He will lift you up and make your lives significant].
A humbling experience is when we realize we can’t make it without God. From the simplest of task, to the major things in life, we need God.
As we go throughout life, we sometimes forget how we exist and Who causes us to exist. We get wrapped up in going to work, attending class, raising our family, and fulfilling our dreams. Let’s take a step back and realize that God made all of this possible. If it were not for God, we wouldn’t have the energy in our body to get to work or have the intelligence to receive an education. If God was not involved, we wouldn’t know how to keep or raise a family. If God was not holding all of this together, our dreams would become nightmares.
Let’s humble ourselves and realize we can’t make it without the Lord.
