2 Samuel 2:1 After this, David inquired of the Lord, saying, Shall I go up into any of the cities of Judah? And the Lord said to him, Go up. David said, To which shall I go up? And He said, To Hebron.

When David inquired of the Lord, the Lord gave him specific instructions regarding what he should do. How many times do we go through life on our own without consulting the Lord? The Word of God says that we should acknowledge Him in all our ways (Proverbs 3:6). This means we should consult God in major and minor decisions.

It may seem “too deep” to ask God what or where we should eat lunch but, by acknowledging Him in everything, God could be protecting us from food poisoning, bad customer service, or a car accident.

Consult God in everything and receive the best from God.
