Acts 1:8 But you shall receive power, after the Holy Spirit has come upon you: and you shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

The Holy Spirit gave the believer power. Power for what? To be witnesses of Jesus Christ all over the earth. What is the purpose of this power?

The power of the Holy Spirit allows us to overcome all of the potential shame and embarrassment we may have in being a witness for Jesus. The power of the Holy Spirit allows us to witness regardless of the critics and naysayers of Jesus Christ. The power of the Holy Spirit allows our voices to be heard over the doubters. The power of the Holy Spirit allows the Word of God coming from our mouths to penetrate every dark demonic force in the earth.

This is the purpose of the Holy Spirit’s power. Use it wisely.
