In Him you were also circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the sins of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ, (Colossians 2:11 NKJV)

Circumcision is where flesh is cut from the body. By receiving Jesus Christ, we have been spiritually circumcised. We have been permanently separated from the sins of our flesh. This means, no matter what we’ve done, we are eternally forgiven and always viewed as righteous.

Everyday, there are multiple battles we have with our flesh. Our flesh desires to do something outside the order of God. With every battle, we must take a stance against our flesh and walk by the Spirit of God. However, if we should miss the mark, we have already been forgiven. The death and resurrection of Jesus Christ has separated us from sin.

Praise God for Jesus the Christ Who allows us to be literally free from sin.
