Psalm 37:4 Delight yourself also in the LORD: and he shall give you the desires of your heart.
We have been taught to stand in faith for the desires of our hearts, but there’s more.  We know that financial increase, marriage, children, and better health are not contrary to God’s Word.  So, we may easily have faith for those things, but how do we know which person is meant to be our spouse, or when to have children, or which career opportunity to pursue?
Worldly wisdom will instruct us to select the most sought after person or career, or to have kids when everyone else does, but God’s wisdom is based on what is best for our future.  His instructions may not always appear logical, but as we seek Him for wisdom, God shows us how to walk out our faith.
Proverbs 2: 1My son, if you accept my words and store up my commands within you, 2turning your ear to wisdom and applying your heart to understanding— 3indeed, if you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding, 5then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God.
