Job 22:28 You shall also decree a thing, and it shall be established for you: and the light shall shine upon your ways.

We shall have what we decree. In order to receive this promise in the old covenant, we would have to do everything correctly according to the law. Now, we’re under the new covenant where our righteousness is through Jesus Christ. We no longer have to do everything according to the law to receive God’s promises. We simply have to believe the law was fulfilled through Jesus Christ.

If we can truly grasp the magnitude of this promise, we will never be afraid again. We can speak into the atmosphere of our life and expect. We can speak over our children and expect to see positive results. We can speak over our finances and expect to receive increase. We can speak over our bodies and expect divine health.

Believers, let us activate this authority and expect to experience what we’ve decreed.

Inspired by Myron Butler & Levi

In the old covenant, in Isaiah 55:8 it says, for my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, says the LORD. This encouraged people to make statements such as, “The Lord works in mysterious ways.” And this was true under the old covenant.

However in the new covenant, we become closer to God through Jesus. In the new covenant, John 15:15 says, I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you. What this is saying is that, for the believer, the Lord no longer works in mysterious ways. We obtain the knowledge of God through Jesus.

So for every situation we face in life, through prayer and meditation, we have an opportunity to understand God’s reasoning behind what we faced. Gone are the days where we simply accept what we go through without any explanation.

Let’s spend more time with God to receive revelation on what we faced and to prepare for things to come.

1 Corinthians 2:9 But as it is written, Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for them that love him. 10 But God has revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searches all things, yea, the deep things of God.

Psalm 2:7 I will proclaim the Lord’s decree: He said to me, “You are my son; today I have become your father. 8 Ask me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession.

When we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we become children of God. As children of God, we are entitled to all that our Father owns.
How much does our Father own? He owns everything.

He owns everything and He desires to give us everything. Psalm 2, states He will even give us the nations and the ends of the earth. If He desires to give us the ends of the earth, surely He has no problem giving us a house, car, spouse, and money. All God requires for us to receive our desires is our request, our belief, and our expectation to receive.

Get in line with God’s Word and let’s receive our desires.

This is Jesus speaking.

John 14:1 “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me.

Believe, through Jesus, we received abundant life (John 10:10). Believe, through Jesus, we received the wisdom of God (1 Corinthians 1:20). Believe, through Jesus, we are righteous before God (2 Corinthians 5:21). Believe, through the stripes of Jesus, we are healed (1 Peter 2:24). Believe, through Jesus, we are victorious (1 Corinthians 15:57).

Jesus is requesting that we believe in Him. Not just Him being the Christ but, believing in all His finished works. The list above is just a few of the things Jesus accomplished for us. Understanding that Jesus gave us abundant life, wisdom, righteousness, divine health, victory and so much more, the situations in our life should never cause us to be troubled, stressed, or in fear.

So, meditate and believe on the things that Jesus has accomplished and enjoy the life He has for you.

Now indeed, Elizabeth your relative has also conceived a son in her old age; and this is now the sixth month for her who was called barren. For with God nothing will be impossible.” (‭Luke‬ ‭1‬:‭36-37‬ NKJV)

Elizabeth became pregnant but, she was previously called barren.

What are people saying about you? What are people saying about your past? With God, it really doesn’t matter because He can take our past and use it as a testimony for our future.

People previously called you a whore or a tramp, but with God, they call you a blessed virtuous woman.
People previously called you a womanizer, but with God, they call you a mighty man of God.
People previously called you cheap and frugal, but with God, they call you generous.

Whatever negative things people said about you in your past, leave it with the possibilities of God, and watch God make your future brighter than ever before.
Our past can start now.

Genesis 15-17: God promised Abraham a child with his wife Sarah. When things started to take too long, Abraham decided to help God out by fulfilling the promise himself. Abraham decided to sleep with his maid and they created a child of their own (Ishmael). As a result of Abraham’s impatience and self-effort, God did not say a word to Abraham for a number of years and the maid and Ishmael were forced out of their house.

The Word of God is full of promises and we have the Holy Spirit to guide us to those promises. If we hear in our spirit to do or expect a certain thing, no matter how farfetched it seems, receive it and trust the process. Don’t try to make it happen through self-effort.

For example, if God told someone to only apply to 5 jobs a day and expect to receive employment. That person should not apply to 25 jobs a day to increase their odds for obtaining employment. That person may get a job but, that may not be the job God desires for that person.

Remember to trust God, trust His process, and receive what He has for you.

Genesis 15:4 The Lord replied, “No, he won’t! You will have a son of your own, and everything you have will be his.”
Inspired by Pastor Creflo Dollar

When we accept Jesus as Savior, we receive the gift of eternal life for our spirits and souls (1 John 5:11).
Romans 8:11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.
But, it’s not just our spirits and souls that have been given life; our mortal or fleshly bodies have life through His Spirit.  That means that…
1) We CAN do all things through Him (continuously manifesting impossibilities – Philippians 4:13);
2) We ARE more than conquerors through Him (recurring victories over trials – Romans 8:37 & 1 Corinthians 15:57); and
3) We ARE over-comers (ongoing state of overcoming difficulties – Revelation 12:11).
So, how do we activate this life in us? Through faith.
1 John 5:4 For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.
So, stand in, build, and move from faith to faith.  Expect manifestations and successes and live out the life gifted to us through His Spirit.

As believers, we are all striving to become closer to God. With each step towards this lifestyle, there is a transitional phase.

In this transitional phase, there are at least two things to be mindful of. 1. We may lose the closeness in our friendships. We may choose to no longer participate in things with our friends that are not pleasing to God. It doesn’t make us better than our friends; it just means we’re on two different levels. 2. We should not be critical towards the people of our past. The more we move towards holiness, the further we get from the lifestyle of sin. We should not judge or condemn the people of our past because we were in that same place not too long ago.

Remember these two things as we continue to transition in holiness.

Hebrews 10:22 let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water.

1 Thessalonians 4:4 that each of you should learn to control your own body in a way that is holy and honorable,

We are spirit beings, who possess a soul, and we live in a body (1 Thess 5:23). We are not our bodies. Our bodies are a temporary house for our spirit.

As believers and people of faith, we have control over everything that goes on in our bodies. However, if we’re not exercising our faith over the negative things that attempt to control our bodies, our bodies will be slaves to those negative things.

For instance, if our bodies experience a sickness or disease, we can go through the motions of taking time off of work and getting medicine until the sickness passes. Or, we can exercise our faith, declare the sickness to leave our bodies, and thank God we are healed. If we have a tendency to overeat, we can go through the motions of trying diet pills and weight watcher programs or, we can use our faith, take control over our bodies, and stop destroying the temple of God. If we have lustful desires to sleep with numerous men/women, we can try to stop by using will power, or we can use our faith and stop with God’s power.

Once again, we are spirits made in the image of God and our spirits should be controlling our bodies. Our bodies should not be controlling us.

James‬ ‭4‬:‭6‬ But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.”

In today’s world, we can double major, obtain our bachelor’s degree, get our master’s degree, and Ph.D. On top of our education, some of us have so much life experience until we can tell stories for days.

One thing we have to realize is no matter what we have in life, we need God. We can’t get to a place where we rely on our degree, experience, or networking skills in order to accomplish a goal. Every time a task is in front of us, we must rely on God.

God is looking for people who push everything they have aside and totally rely on Him. When we humble ourselves, and acknowledge and rely on God, His grace will abound in our lives. Doors will be open that we thought were shut forever and the favor of God will come from everywhere.

Let’s humble ourselves and receive the grace of God.

Luke 10:19 I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.

The definition for burglary is when an actor unlawfully enters a residence without the consent of the owner. If the actor is discovered inside the residence, police authorities have the right to apprehend the suspect and take them to jail.

In the New Covenant, Jesus has given the believer authority over all of the power of the enemy. If the enemy is present somewhere in our lives, we have the authority to apprehend his power and take it away.

For instance, if we experience sickness, that sickness has unlawfully entered our body. We have the authority to apprehend and remove the sickness from our body.
If stress or drama is within our marriage, that stress and drama has unlawfully entered our marriage. We have the authority to take hold of that stress and drama and remove them from our marriage.

Anything we experience outside of the will of God, we’ve been given the authority to apprehend and remove. Use your authority today.

James‬ ‭3‬:‭3-5‬ Indeed, we put bits in horses’ mouths that they may obey us, and we turn their whole body. Look also at ships: although they are so large and are driven by fierce winds, they are turned by a very small rudder wherever the pilot desires. Even so the tongue is a little member and boasts great things. See how great a forest a little fire kindles!

The tongue or our speech seems so insignificant but, it can change our entire lives. Just like a bit can determine the direction of a horse, our speech will determine our direction in life. We can use our words to construct, inspire, or bring life into our lives or we can use our words to destroy everything God has given us.

God’s promises are Yes and Amen however, some of us won’t see those promises until we speak life. A situation may look hopeless but, if we believe change is possible, speak change is possible, and receive the change, we will usher in the God-given promises without delay.

Continue to speak life.

There is worldly wisdom and Godly wisdom. When we implement God’s wisdom into our lives we reap benefits such as a healthy, high-quality, long life, protection and covering, being favored and promoted, and having victory. So, like King Solomon, seek God for wisdom and then watch as the benefits of wisdom overtake you!

Proverb 4
4 …you will live.
6… she will protect you; …she will watch over you.
8 …she will exalt you; …she will honor you.
9 She will give you a garland to grace your head and present you with a glorious crown.”
10 …the years of your life will be many.
11 …lead you along straight paths.
12 When you walk, your steps will not be hampered; when you run, you will not stumble.
22 … [words of wisdom] are life to those who find them and health to one’s whole body.

2 Corinthians 1:20 For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God.

The hardest thing for a born-again believer to realize is that everything we desire, when we pray, is already available to us now (Ephesians 1:3). God is not creating the desire the moment we ask. The desire has been available for the past 2000 years when Jesus was raised from the dead (2 Corinthians 1:20).

Some people believe we have to pray so many hours a day or fast so many days in the month in order to get God to “move.” We don’t have to work for or earn our answered prayers in the new covenant. All we have to do is stand in faith and believe that whatever we desire that aligns with God’s will, Jesus has made it available for us.

Healing is available to us. Deliverance is available to us. Prosperity is available to us. All of our needs are available to us. The desires of our heart are available to us.

Stand in faith and believe that whatever you desire is already done.

Philippians 4:11 I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances.

It’s important for us to overcome discontentment because discontentment shifts our focus away from God.

Imagine a person who is upset and filled with discontentment due to the fact they are not satisfied with their current job. If their discontentment is not resolved, that person will be so obsessed with obtaining new employment and/or continuously complaining about their current position.

Discontentment belittles the gifts from God.
Discontentment negatively impacts our personality.
Discontentment focuses our attention away from our God-given purpose.

We overcome discontentment by being thankful and grateful for everything God provides. And if there is a desire for change, we stand in faith with a positive attitude for the manifestation of our desires.

Psalm 27:14 Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.

Based on the scripture, we can conclude there are two types of courage. This scripture emphasizes being of good courage, that means, there must be bad courage.

Good courage is fearlessly doing what God tells us to do without delay. An example of good courage is when David ran towards the giant, Goliath (1 Samuel 17). Bad courage is doing what our flesh wants to do without consulting God. An example of bad courage is when David had another man killed in order to take his wife (2 Samuel 11).

Believe it or not, it takes courage to do something outside the will of God. For instance, if someone disrespected us, we have a decision to make regarding which courage to choose. Bad courage would lead us to curse them out, bash them on Twitter or Facebook, or do physical or emotional harm to that person. Good courage would lead us to love our enemies, pray for those who persecute us, and stand for righteousness (Matthew 5:44).

We have freewill and the choice is up to us but, I encourage you to maintain good courage.

I Peter‬ ‭3‬:‭10-11‬ For “He who would love life And see good days, Let him refrain his tongue from evil, And his lips from speaking deceit. Let him turn away from evil and do good; Let him seek peace and pursue it.

The prosperous good life is not up to chance, education, or even God. The good life depends on our actions. If we choose to submit ourselves to God, refrain from evil, and do good, we are promised to see good days.

On the surface, it’s just that simple. Unfortunately, situations in life will tempt us to go towards evil and drama but, it’s up to us to remain disciplined and focused on God.

Do good, seek and pursue peace, and experience the good life.

2 Corinthians 5:7 says we ought to walk by faith and not by sight. Let’s extend this to say, walk by faith and not by sight nor by the negative experiences of our past. If we focus on the negative experiences of our past, those negative experiences can dissolve our faith.

Example: Initially, a married couple can stand strong in faith to have a child. After making numerous attempts to have a child, a married couple can become discouraged if time has passed and a child is not conceived. That couple has a choice to make. They can focus on the fact that they have tried numerous times to have a child and it didn’t work or continue to believe that with God, all things are possible.

Our present conditions can change with a constant belief in the Word of God. It’s up to us to focus our attention on the supernatural abilities of God and not the negative experiences of our past.

Matthew 19:26 Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

Matthew 9:29 Then He touched their eyes, saying, “According to your faith let it be to you.”30 And their eyes were opened. And Jesus sternly warned them, saying, “See that no one knows it.”

John 9:6 When He had said this, He spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and applied the clay to his eyes, 7 and said to him, “Go, wash in the pool of Siloam ” (which is translated, Sent). So he went away and washed, and came back seeing.

In two cases, we have the same problem of blindness and the same result of healing. The only thing that differs is the process of how they received their sight. In the first case, Jesus simply touches their eyes and they were healed. In the second case, Jesus makes mud, places it on his eyes, and instructs the man to wash his eyes out in the pool.

What can we learn from this? Every process to our promise is going to be different. For instance, if someone is sick, God may instruct them to pray and fast for three days to manifest their healing. Another person may be instructed to go to the doctor. It does not matter how we’re healed just as long as we believe and obey the process to receive our promise. Believing and obeying the process also works in obtaining a car, house, spouse, and anything that pertains to life and godliness.

Obey God’s process and receive God’s best.

Colossians 3:2 Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.

If we look in today’s society, the majority of people are chasing money. Once they obtain money, they irresponsibly spend it on cars, clothes, and questionable things.

There is nothing wrong with having money and nice things but, God advises us to set our mind on higher things. If our ultimate goal is to only be rich, our mind is set on things that are beneath God’s standards.

What are those higher things? Those higher things are to establish and develop a personal relationship with God. Once that relationship is developed, we should consult God on His plan for our lives. Once that plan is revealed, we should fearlessly walk out our purpose. Along the way of fulfilling our purpose, we should encourage others to establish and develop a relationship with God.

Remember, those higher things revolve around the Kingdom of God. Set your mind on those higher things and make an impact today.

Psalms 21:1 The king rejoices in your strength, Lord. How great is his joy in the victories you give!
2 You have granted him his heart’s desire and have not withheld the request of his lips.
3 You came to greet him with rich blessings and placed a crown of pure gold on his head.
4 He asked you for life, and you gave it to him—length of days, for ever and ever.
5 Through the victories you gave, his glory is great; you have bestowed on him splendor and majesty.
6 Surely you have granted him unending blessings and made him glad with the joy of your presence.

Why does this king get to receive joy and victories? Why does this king get to receive his heart’s desire? Why does this king get to receive rich unending blessings and life extension?
The answer is in verse seven.

7 For the king trusts in the Lord; through the unfailing love of the Most High he will not be shaken.

The king trusts in the Lord and he has internalized God’s love for him. This trust and understanding of God’s love has this king abundantly blessed and unshaken. News flash…this can be us today. When we totally trust God and embrace His love, we are unstoppable.

Trust God with everything and receive His love desperately.

Be blessed!

I John 5:4 For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.

Do we really believe this? When people mistreat us or our family, do we believe that through our faith in God, we overcome? Whether we are unfairly treated, or our children ostracized, God can use even those situations to bring us out on top. That doesn’t mean that God causes those negative things to occur, but that He’s so great at being our loving Father that He can mold, shape, and grow us so that we come through those situations victorious and better than we were. So, release revenge, worry, and doubt and embrace the promises of God for victory, abundance, and joy for us, for our children, and for others.

Romans 4:21 and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform.

John 11:43 When He had said these things, He cried out with a loud voice, “Lazarus, come forth.” 44 The man who had died came forth, bound hand and foot with wrappings, and his face was wrapped around with a cloth.

Here, we see Jesus calling the dead back to life. John 14:12 says, whatever Jesus did, we can do also. This means, we also have the authority to bring the dead back to life. This principle works with revitalizing people, circumstances, and things.

For instance, we have the authority to call love, joy, and peace in a seemingly “lifeless marriage.” Our authority has the ability to restore life back into “dead” families, friendships, and church congregations.

Another way we can use our authority is in our finances. We can call life back into our finances. Many of us see our accounts dwindle as time goes on but, we have the authority to restore life back into our bank accounts in order to be the blessing God has called us to be and to enjoy our abundant life.

Exercise this authority and bring the dead back to life.

Every time we look at the blessing of The Lord, the blessing is always associated with increase.

Proverbs 10:22 The blessing of the LORD brings wealth, without painful toil for it.

Genesis 24:35 The LORD has blessed my master abundantly, and he has become wealthy. He has given him sheep and cattle, silver and gold, male and female servants, and camels and donkeys.

Genesis 26:12 Isaac planted crops in that land and the same year reaped a hundredfold, because the LORD blessed him.

The blessing has not gone away. The blessing is still in operation today. For everyone who is born-again, the blessing of The Lord is on our lives (Galatians 3:14). However, we cannot receive its benefits without faith. Through our faith, we have the ability to increase in our finances so that we can be debt free in a month, impactful to the world, and an advancer of the Kingdom of God through our giving. The increase is available but, we have to receive it by faith.

Let’s set our mind on the truth that we are blessed and let’s receive the increase of the blessing by faith.

Psalm 3:8 Salvation belongs to the LORD. Your blessing is upon Your people. Selah

In the old covenant, only the high priest could enter the Most Holy Place. No man could stand before God with sin. So, when the priest entered the Most Holy Place, he had to have the blood of calves and goats for his sins and the sins of his people.

In the new covenant, when we get born-again, our bodies become the Most Holy Place because we are temples of the Holy Spirit according to 1 Corinthians 6:19. To this day, no man can stand before God with sin. There is something that allows God’s presence to continually dwell in us. That something is the blood of Jesus Christ.

For the born-again believer, we have constant access to the most holy place. Contrary to religious belief, the Holy Spirit doesn’t leave us when we sin. The Holy Spirit is ever-present due to the fact the blood of Jesus Christ continuously flows on the mercy-seat of God. We are forever sealed with the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 4:30).

Thank you Jesus for our constant access to God.

Hebrews 9:12 Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption.

Isaiah 61:8 For I, the LORD, love justice, I hate robbery in the burnt offering; And I will faithfully give them their recompense And make an everlasting covenant with them. 9 Then their offspring will be known among the nations, And their descendants in the midst of the peoples. All who see them will recognize them Because they are the offspring whom the LORD has blessed.

Any unjust thing that has ever been done to us, we have a promise of recompense. Recompense is compensation or reward given for loss or harm suffered or effort made. Some of us had things unlawfully stolen from us and others were in situations where people physically or emotionally hurt us terribly. Whatever the situation may be, we have a promise of recompense.

There is no need to try to get even with the person who wronged us or become bitter at the world. We are guaranteed recompense. It’s like the situation never happened.

Receive your recompense by faith.
