Isaiah 61:8 For I, the LORD, love justice, I hate robbery in the burnt offering; And I will faithfully give them their recompense And make an everlasting covenant with them. 9 Then their offspring will be known among the nations, And their descendants in the midst of the peoples. All who see them will recognize them Because they are the offspring whom the LORD has blessed.
Any unjust thing that has ever been done to us, we have a promise of recompense. Recompense is compensation or reward given for loss or harm suffered or effort made. Some of us had things unlawfully stolen from us and others were in situations where people physically or emotionally hurt us terribly. Whatever the situation may be, we have a promise of recompense.
There is no need to try to get even with the person who wronged us or become bitter at the world. We are guaranteed recompense. It’s like the situation never happened.
Receive your recompense by faith.
