Matthew 9:29 Then He touched their eyes, saying, “According to your faith let it be to you.”30 And their eyes were opened. And Jesus sternly warned them, saying, “See that no one knows it.”
John 9:6 When He had said this, He spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and applied the clay to his eyes, 7 and said to him, “Go, wash in the pool of Siloam ” (which is translated, Sent). So he went away and washed, and came back seeing.
In two cases, we have the same problem of blindness and the same result of healing. The only thing that differs is the process of how they received their sight. In the first case, Jesus simply touches their eyes and they were healed. In the second case, Jesus makes mud, places it on his eyes, and instructs the man to wash his eyes out in the pool.
What can we learn from this? Every process to our promise is going to be different. For instance, if someone is sick, God may instruct them to pray and fast for three days to manifest their healing. Another person may be instructed to go to the doctor. It does not matter how we’re healed just as long as we believe and obey the process to receive our promise. Believing and obeying the process also works in obtaining a car, house, spouse, and anything that pertains to life and godliness.
Obey God’s process and receive God’s best.
