Philippians 4:11 I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances.

It’s important for us to overcome discontentment because discontentment shifts our focus away from God.

Imagine a person who is upset and filled with discontentment due to the fact they are not satisfied with their current job. If their discontentment is not resolved, that person will be so obsessed with obtaining new employment and/or continuously complaining about their current position.

Discontentment belittles the gifts from God.
Discontentment negatively impacts our personality.
Discontentment focuses our attention away from our God-given purpose.

We overcome discontentment by being thankful and grateful for everything God provides. And if there is a desire for change, we stand in faith with a positive attitude for the manifestation of our desires.
