As believers, we are all striving to become closer to God. With each step towards this lifestyle, there is a transitional phase.

In this transitional phase, there are at least two things to be mindful of. 1. We may lose the closeness in our friendships. We may choose to no longer participate in things with our friends that are not pleasing to God. It doesn’t make us better than our friends; it just means we’re on two different levels. 2. We should not be critical towards the people of our past. The more we move towards holiness, the further we get from the lifestyle of sin. We should not judge or condemn the people of our past because we were in that same place not too long ago.

Remember these two things as we continue to transition in holiness.

Hebrews 10:22 let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water.
