Galatians 3:29 And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s descendants, heirs according to promise.
Genesis 26:3 Stay in this land for a while, and I will be with you and will bless you. For to you and your descendants I will give all these lands and will confirm the oath I swore to your father Abraham.
The popular response in the church world after someone is asked how are they doing is, “I’m blessed.” We say “I’m blessed” but, do we really know what that means? Have we internalized the truth that we’re blessed?
When we say we’re blessed we’re saying, we are righteous through our faith in Jesus Christ (Rom 4:9). We are redeemed from the curse of the law (Gal 3:13) [Curses of the Law: Deut 28:15-68]. We have the Spirit of God through faith (Gal 3:14). We are empowered to prosper in every area in our lives (finances, health, family, etc.) (Deut. 7:13). Our name is great in the earth (Gen 12:2). We have a promised land (Gen 12:7). We are vessels for the blessing (Gen 12:2).
It’s important for us to internalize the truth that we are blessed because there will be negative situations and circumstances that will attempt to make us think otherwise. Accept the truth and realize that we are blessed.
