Some people seem to be uncomfortable with the concept of God loving us in spite of what we do. This discomfort is based on their own thoughts, beliefs, and conditions of love. It’s sometimes difficult for people to understand that God loves us unconditionally.
We may have certain conditions or stipulations of when to reciprocate our love but, God does not. His ways are far above our ways (Isaiah 55:9). So yes, we can break all ten of the commandments on the same day and God will continue to love us. Yes, we can choose not to believe in His Son Jesus and God will continue to love us. Yes, we can live the majority of our life in rebellion and the hour before we die, if we sincerely accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, God will love us enough to make us righteous and receive us into heaven.
We have our own thoughts and beliefs on how and when to love but, God is on another level. This love should not encourage us to sin but, it should humble us to know that in spite of what we do, God still loves us. Praise God for His continuous unconditional love.
Romans 8:39 No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.
