Acts 16:17 Following after Paul and us, she kept crying out, saying, “These men are bond-servants of the Most High God, who are proclaiming to you the way of salvation.” 18 She continued doing this for many days. But Paul was greatly annoyed, and turned and said to the spirit, “I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her!” And it came out at that very moment.

Although Paul was annoyed by the woman, he did not deal with the woman. Paul recognized and dealt with the wicked spirit within the woman.

There may be people who attempt to purposefully annoy, irritate, or cause drama in our lives. The ex-girlfriend who attempts to irritate the new girlfriend or the boss who overworks and is overly critical of his employees. Instead of attacking the person who is causing the drama, attack the spirit within that person. In Luke 10:19, Jesus gave us dominion over all the power of the enemy. Like Paul, we have the ability to cast any wicked, negative, or hateful spirit out of a person.

As born-again believers, use this Christ-given authority to conquer any wicked spirit that may be troubling your life.
