Psalms 62:5 My soul, wait silently for God alone, For my expectation is from Him.
The question that is on the table is, where are we placing our expectation? Our expectation is meant for God alone, but many of us place our expectation in other things.
Some place their expectation in riches. If they only can get enough money then, everything will be alright. Some place their expectation in having a good career. If they only can get their desired career then, they will be happy. Some place their expectation in relationships. If they can find the right person then, life would be so much better. These are temporary fixes. If our expectation is not placed in God alone, we will always be searching for the next best thing and we will never be satisfied.
Let’s remove every earthly thing from our mentality that will seemingly make us happy. Let’s place our hope, our trust, and our expectations in a stable God.
