I Samuel 17:45 Then David said to the Philistine, “You come to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.
David surveyed the obstacle in front of him. David not only was facing a giant, but David was facing a giant with a sword, a spear, and a javelin. Regardless of what David saw, David had to make an intentional decision to make God bigger than his obstacle.
In life, there will be issues that we will have to face. Some of those issues look like giants and they seem impossible to get over. We can either continue to look at this giant of an obstacle, or make God bigger than our obstacle. Some of us have magnified our obstacle for years. At some point, as believers, we have to make the decision and overcome that obstacle.
Remember, it’s not by our strength or logic that we overcome our giants. It’s in the name of the Lord Jesus that we overcome our giants. So, in the name of Jesus, we overcome cancer. In the name of Jesus, we overcome depression. In the name of Jesus, we defeat everything that stands in the way of our promise.
Overcome your giant.
