Hebrews 13:15 By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of [our] lips giving thanks to his name.
Our praise is the most appropriate response to the finished works of Jesus. On the cross, Jesus stated “It is finished.” What did Jesus finish? Everything.
Jesus reconciled us back to God. Jesus allowed us to be forgiven. Jesus redeemed us from the curse of the law. Jesus disarmed Satan of his power. Jesus allowed us to be partakers of the blessing.
With this in mind, we praise God for Jesus for allowing us to receive everything we need or desire that pertains to life and godliness.
So, when we have needs or desires ,we should have faith and believe that we’vereceived it. Secondly, we praise God that through the blood of Jesus those needs and desires have already been made available to us. We’re not praising God to do something; we’re praising God that through the finished works of Jesus, it’s already done.
