Genesis 12:1The Lord had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you.
God instructed Abram to leave his comfort zone. He told Abram to leave almost everyone and everything he knew and go to an unknown land. Based on God’s word to bless him, Abram obeyed God. At this time, Abram wasn’t a devout God-fearing man. He was just a regular guy who trusted and obeyed the voice in the sky. Because of Abram’s obedience, Abram was blessed and became Abraham, the father of many nations.
God will instruct us to leave our comfort zone. He may ask us to drop some friends, change jobs, or move to another city. But like Abram, it’s for our good and for His purpose in the earth. We simply have to remove the fear from our lives and choose to trust and obey God.
Realize this…Every instruction we obey, is a pathway to our promise.
