Numbers 13:33 We even saw giants there, the descendants of Anak. Next to them we felt like grasshoppers, and that’s what they thought, too!”
The Israelites did not receive the promise of God because of how they saw themselves. The Israelites had an identity crisis. They saw themselves as grasshoppers and unable to overcome opposition. Some believers today have an identity crisis. They see themselves as less than. They see themselves as an old wretched sinner. They see themselves as only human.
If we all could see ourselves the way God sees us, we can accomplish a lot more for the Kingdom of God.
How does God see us?
1. Psalm 8:4 What is man that You take thought of him, And the son of man that You care for him? 5 Yet You have made him a little lower than God, And You crown him with glory and majesty!
-God has made us slightly lower than Him. We have more authority and power than every angel, demon, or negative situation that stands in our way.
2. 2 Corinthians 2:14 Now thanks be unto God, who always causes us to triumph in Christ, and makes manifest the fragrance of his knowledge by us in every place.
-We are victorious in every situation we face. Through Christ, we never lose.
3. 2 Corinthians 5:21 God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
-Through the blood of Jesus, we are forgiven of every past, present, and future sin. With this forgiveness, we are no longer sinner but, we’ve become the righteousness of God.
As we renew our minds to the way God sees us, our confidence will attract others, our needs and desires will be fulfilled, and the Kingdom of God will advance.
Change how you see yourself in order to change the world.
