Our thoughts control our emotions. We can either think positive thoughts and be joyful, happy, and at peace or think negative thoughts and be sad, angry, frustrated, or depressed. The good news is it’s up to us.
Negative thoughts will enter our minds, but we don’t have to accept them. With God’s help, we have the ability to think ourselves happy. Negative situations may be going on all around us, but in the midst of all that, God has given us control over our thoughts.
Philippians 4:8 tells how to think. It says, finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
Stop dwelling on negative things. Find the good in every situation and think on those things.
