Jeremiah 29:11 NIV For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
This should be a familiar verse to us. We tend to focus on the “plans to prosper you” part, but God also promised to give us hope. Hope is the goal setter. If we’re not hearing any goals for ourselves, we’re lacking communication with the One who gives hope.
Hope is having something to look forward to. As we consistently spend time with God, He’ll give us something to look forward to. It could be a business, a new house, children, a spouse, or even losing weight. With hope, God will give us something to look forward to.
Are you just going through the motions in life of work home work home? If so, get with God and He’ll give you some hope. He’ll give you something to look forward to. Then, apply your faith to obtain the desire you hope for (Heb. 11:1).
