Psalms 119:60 NLT I will hurry, without delay, to obey your commands.

God has given all of us a task. This task is part of our God-given assignment and purpose. Our purpose could be a great homemaker, starting a business, or promoting at our company. It doesn’t even have to be life altering. It could be taking out the trash, eating an apple twice a day, or washing the car.

Whatever God instructs us to do, it’s important to obey without delay. Our obedience is attached to something greater. Our children may see us being great homemakers, and that will influence them to do the same. Someone may benefit from our business, and it could change their lives. Eating that apple twice a day could have health benefits as we age.

If we delay obeying God’s instructions or disobey them altogether, we’re stopping God’s will from being accomplished, we’re minimizing God’s blessings in our lives, and we’re not being a blessing to others. 

Our obedience has more impact than we know. Let’s obey God so that He’s glorified, we obtain His promises, and we can be a blessing.
