Acts 16:27-28 NKJV And the keeper of the prison, awaking from sleep and seeing the prison doors open, supposing the prisoners had fled, drew his sword and was about to kill himself. But Paul called with a loud voice, saying, “Do yourself no harm, for we are all here.”
When the jailer thought he was in a terrible situation by letting the prisoners escape, he was about to end his life. Miraculously, after the prison doors were opened, Paul saved the jailer’s life by letting him know no one escaped.
Unfortunately, there are some people who left this earth prematurely because they believed they were in a hopeless situation. There are some people reading this who have contemplated ending their life due to being in a terrible predicament.
For anyone who has felt this way, I’ll echo the words of Paul. “DO YOURSELF NO HARM.”
Just like the jailer, God can perform the miraculous and make terrible situations seem insignificant. He can level mountains and make crooked places straight.
Give God a chance. Don’t make a permanent decision based on a temporary circumstance. Don’t believe the lies of the enemy telling you it will never get better. No matter what you’ve done or what you’re going through, God’s grace will change you and your situation. Trust Him and live.
