Psalms 71:15-18 NLT I will tell everyone about your righteousness. All day long I will proclaim your saving power, though I am not skilled with words. I will praise your mighty deeds, O Sovereign Lord. I will tell everyone that you alone are just. O God, you have taught me from my earliest childhood, and I constantly tell others about the wonderful things you do. Now that I am old and gray, do not abandon me, O God. Let me proclaim your power to this new generation, your mighty miracles to all who come after me.
It has become very popular to talk about our struggles. Counseling is common, and in the body of Christ, we’ve developed small groups to discuss the challenges in life. This is a good thing and it’s very beneficial.
At the same time, discussing the goodness of God is being pushed to the back. No one really talks about our victories and the good things God has done. In some circles, it’s seen as the sin of boasting.
This shouldn’t be. Anything God has done in our lives is for His glory. We may have gotten the new job, a new house, or a baby, but God gets the glory. We shouldn’t be ashamed or silenced for what He’s done just because others are experiencing His blessings. If anything, our testimony should encourage them to go all in and totally rely on God.
It’s important to talk about our temptations, but also the testimonies. Don’t forget the miraculous things that God has done because He gets the glory.
