Anger has been detrimental to our world since the beginning. Cane was jealous of Abel’s accepted sacrifice, and his anger caused him to kill his brother.

If we’re not mindful, our anger can control us. It can cause some to get a divorce, abuse their spouses, destroy valuable property, or get arrested because of road rage. All of these things start with anger, which can lead to sin destroying some, if not all, of their lives.

It didn’t say we shouldn’t be angry. It says we shouldn’t allow anger to control us. When you’re feeling angry, give that care to God and receive His peace, which He made available to every believer (John 14:27; 1 Peter 5:7).
