What most of us are fighting on a daily basis is our will against the will of the Father. We may want to stay in that relationship, but we know God is instructing us to end that relationship. We may want to let loose and get a couple of drinks on Friday, but God is telling us to go home.
The basis of our fight between God’s will and ours is trust. A lot of us don’t trust that God’s way is better than ours. We must trust that the benefits of doing things God’s way outweigh the temporary satisfaction of our flesh.
Just let go and surrender it all. Once we stop fighting our will against His, God’s word guarantees a blessed, prosperous, peaceful life. It doesn’t mean it will be perfect, but it will be far better than the life we create on our own.
