Psalms 99:5 NLT Exalt the Lord our God! Bow low before his feet, for he is holy!

Bowing to God is an act of worship, but it’s also a gesture of humility. It’s saying that we’re not in charge of our lives and we’re putting Him above ourselves. We’re putting Him and His ways above our ego, our plans, and our ideas of what’s right and wrong.

There may be some who choose to bow to His ways when it’s convenient or when they feel like it, but we should put everything under Him.

Once we humble ourselves and bow before Him, we’ll realize that His way of doing things benefits us. It will never feel good to our flesh, but His ways will improve every area of our lives.

So, when you’re spending time with God, literally bow before Him because He’s a holy God who deserves our worship, but also bow before Him spiritually, mentally, and emotionally.
