Psalms 100:4 NLT Enter His gates with thanksgiving; go into His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him and praise His name.
When we come to God, a lot of times, we come to Him with our list of what we want Him to bless and what we desire. Prior to asking for anything, we must remember to thank Him for what He’s already given.
In just one day, we can thank Him for an hour for the things He’s done. We can thank Him for Jesus and His sacrifice. We can thank Him for His love and His word. We can thank Him for life, health, and strength. Thank Him for protection. Thank Him for food, clothes, and shelter. Thank Him for movement in our bodies. Nothing is too small.
Everyone likes to hear “thank you,” including God. Throughout the day, thank God for what He’s done. If you need help identifying the good things God has done or if you need to be reminded about the things God has done, ask the Holy Spirit and He’ll help you with your gratitude.
