Psalms 108:1 NLT My heart is confident in you, O God; no wonder I can sing your praises with all my heart!

One main goal in our relationship with God is having confidence in God. Another word for biblical confidence is faith in God.

When we have confidence in God, we cannot be shaken by the issues of life. If we experience sickness in our bodies, our confidence in God helps us realize this sickness won’t end in death. After all, God said we’re healed (1 Pet. 2:24). If we have financial shortages, our confidence in God helps us understand that this is only temporary because God said He’ll increase us more and more (Psalms 115:14). Whatever negative situation knocks at our door, we’re not moved by it because our confidence in God helps us understand that God has already handled it.

Our confidence in God prevents stress, worry, anxiety, and fear. If we’re feeling any of those things, it’s because our confidence is not completely in God. To obtain and maintain our confidence in God, get in His word and see all the things God has handled. Secondly, trust that He’s handled them correctly. Finally, magnify what He’s handled in His word over what we see.

Don’t throw away your confidence—it brings a great reward (Heb. 10:35).
