Psalms 134:2 NLT Lift your hands toward the sanctuary, and praise the Lord.
Praising God is a privilege. We’re not limited to only praising Him in church. We can praise Him in the car, at the gym, at home, or at the park.
When we’re in public, when we praise God, we don’t have to be animated or put on a show, but His goodness should compel us to do something. We can lift our hands, sing out loud, dance, close our eyes, or praise Him in our heavenly language (unknown tongues).
If we’re forcing ourselves not to do something, we’re operating in the spirit of fear of what people will say or think about us. That’s not what God desires.
God has been way too good for us to allow the opinions of people to hinder our praise. So, do something when praising His holy name.
