Psalms 140:13 NLT Surely righteous people are praising your name; the godly will live in your presence.

When we get born-again by making Jesus Christ Lord and Savior, we’re made righteous (Rom. 5:1). Godliness is a way of behaving while we’re righteous. We see this in 1 Timothy 6:11 where Paul instructs Timothy to pursue righteousness and a godly life, along with faith, love, perseverance, and gentleness.

For those who are righteous, God is not only with us, but He lives in us by way of the Holy Spirit (Eph. 1:13). And He said He’ll never leave us nor forsake us (Heb.13:5). With this understanding, we can clearly see from scripture that every believer remains in the presence of God.

So, contrary to some religious teachings, God is not coming and going based on our behavior and we don’t have to get in His presence through song. For us, we get to live in His presence. 

So, whatever we want or need, at anytime, we can go to God. He’s always there. If we need help in any situation, He’s there. We don’t need to wait until we’re out of options to ask for help. Be efficient with your time by going to Him first.

Praise God that every born-again believer will forever be in the presence of God.
