Psalms 18:39 NLT You have armed me with strength for the battle; you have subdued my enemies under my feet.
For most of us, our battles aren’t natural. To the ones who are fighting natural battles for our country, He’s given you strength. (Also, thank you for your service.)
For the rest of us, all of our battles are spiritual. 1 Timothy 6:12 says, “Fight the good fight of the faith” and Ephesians 6:12 says, “For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.”
God not only equipped us with strength for natural battles, but spiritual ones too. These battles include battles with depression, battles with alcohol, battles with pornography, and battles with suicide ideation. Whatever spiritual battles we’re facing, He’s equipped us with strength to fight. We don’t have to let these things dominate our lives. And if we’re committed to focusing in on God’s word and doing what it says, He’s guaranteed us the victory (2 Cor. 2:14).
Don’t let Satan keep feeding you lies. You can win, you can overcome, and through Christ, you’ve already gotten the victory.
