There was this guy who forced his employee’s wife to sleep with him. Then, when he realized she was pregnant, he tried to get his employee to work less so that he would sleep with his wife and think the child was his. But, his employee was so dedicated, that he wouldn’t quit on his team members. So, the boss set up the employee to die. Then, the boss, married his former employee’s wife. Do you know what God labeled this guy? 1 Samuel 13:14 …the LORD has sought him a man after his own heart…

David, like us, sinned, but God referred to him as a man after His (God’s) heart. When David sinned, he repented, and strived to live holy (2 Samuel 12). With the beginning of a new year, free yourself from the sins of your past. God has forgotten them (Hebrews 8:12). But, continue past that and commit to live for God becoming a person after God’s heart.
